View projectWimborne, Dorset
Greenfield Gardens designs, builds and looks after gardens across Wimborne and the rest of Dorset. Tell us what you have now and we'll tell you what it could be, with a price you can read.

We visit, measure up and draw your garden on paper. You see where everything goes before anyone picks up a spade.

Who we are
The person who visits your garden is the person who draws the plan. The same crew then builds it, so nothing gets lost between the quote and the spade. We work on six gardens at a time, which is why we can pick up the phone.
Most of our work comes from neighbours of gardens we've already finished. If you'd like to see one in person, ask and we'll arrange it with the owner.
About Greenfield GardensWhat we do
You don't need a designer, a builder and a gardener. We cover all of it, so the person who drew the garden is the person who answers when you ring. Not sure which job you need? Describe the garden and we'll point you the right way.

The old patio was cracked and the lawn was mostly moss. The owners wanted somewhere to eat outside and a garden that looked good all year. We laid a new stone patio, re-turfed the lawn and planted deep borders.
Through the year
March to May
Turfing and seeding, new borders and hedges, first cuts and fresh edges, fence repairs after winter.
June to August
Patios and paving in dry weather, watering plans, regular mowing and trimming, ponds and water features.
September to November
The best time for trees, shrubs and bulbs. Lawns scarified and overseeded, leaves cleared, groundworks before the wet.
December to February
Design visits and quotes while the garden rests. Walls, steps and fencing on dry days, hedge cutting and pruning.
How a project works
Five steps, in the same order every time. You'll always know what's happening next and who's doing it.
The full processTom comes to your garden, usually in the evening or at the weekend. We measure up, look at the soil and the light, and listen to what you want. It takes about an hour and costs nothing.
Within a week you get a drawn plan and a written quote with every cost listed. Change anything you like. We redraw it until it's right.
Once you say yes, we agree a start date and order the materials. We tell you who is coming and when. You get one named person to call.
We work in a set order: groundworks first, then hard materials, then planting and turf. Most gardens take four to eight weeks. You get a short update at the end of each week.
We walk round the finished garden with you and show you how to look after it. You get a care sheet for the planting. We come back after six weeks to check everything has settled.
What clients say
We had the whole back garden redone, patio, lawn and borders. Six months on it still looks wonderful and we use it every weekend.
Send us a few lines and, if you can, a couple of photos. We'll arrange a visit and come back to you with a plan and a price.
