Greenfield Gardens

About us

A small Dorset team that likes getting its hands dirty

Greenfield Gardens started in 2012 with one van and a lot of opinions about lawn edges. Today we are a team of five, still based in Wimborne, still working on only a handful of gardens at a time.

Our story

From one van to a team of five

Tom began by tidying gardens for neighbours at weekends. Soon people were asking for patios, then fences, then whole back gardens. He realised that most people did not want three different firms. They wanted one team who would listen, draw it up and see it through.

So that is what we became. The person who visits your garden draws the plan, and the same crew builds it. Nothing gets lost between the quote and the spade.

We still work this way. We take on fewer jobs than we could, because we would rather finish a garden properly than start three and rush them.

How we work

What you can count on

  • One person to call

You get a named contact from the first visit to the last handover. No call centres and no passing you around.

  • Turn up when we say

We give you a start date and we keep to it. If the weather changes things, you hear from us before you have to ask.

  • Built to last

Proper foundations, proper drainage and materials we would use in our own gardens. Most of the work is underground, and it matters most.

  • Plants that suit your soil

We pick planting for your light and your ground, so it settles in and looks good without constant fuss.

Meet the team

The people who will be in your garden

These are the three you will talk to most. Two more joiners and groundworkers complete the crew.

  • Tom Greenfield, Owner and garden designer

    Tom Greenfield

    Owner and garden designer

Tom draws every plan and visits every garden before a quote goes out. He has been designing gardens in Dorset since 2012.

  • Hannah Pike, Planting and aftercare

    Hannah Pike

    Planting and aftercare

Hannah chooses the plants, runs the planting days and writes the care sheets. She is the one who comes back to check on your borders.

  • Dan Moore, Build lead

    Dan Moore

    Build lead

Dan runs the crew in your garden, from groundworks to the last slab. If you want to know what is happening this week, ask Dan.

What clients say

They turned up when they said they would and left the place spotless. The new fence and planting look better than we pictured.
